Vaser lipo is a treatment which gently reshapes your body. Local anaesthetic numbs the treatment area, ensuring only minimal discomfort during the procedure. A tiny probe gets inserted through small incisions, just millimetres wide, breaking up fat while preserving surrounding tissues, nerves, veins and blood vessels, leaving them intact. The liquified fat is then gently removed through suction. The vaser technique allows the doctor to work with such precision even allowing treatment on delicate areas such as the chin and knees.

In our experience there is minimal pain, and if enough local anaesthesia is given, the experience is relatively pain-free. At Selston, we offer our clients staged vaser lipo procedures, where if two areas get treated at one appointment, the next procedure may be performed the following day. The advantage of this, is that recovery is easier.

At Selston Cosmetic Clinic our policy is safety first! We won't vaser lots of areas in one go, as that would compromise the result and the patient. We have limitations with the tumescent anaesthetic, as too much anaesthetic can give toxicity and you will be extremely poorly! As we need to use the maximum amount of anaesthetic during the vaser procedure to get out the maximum amount of fat, we stick to two areas at a time, unless the areas are quite small and we can do a third.
