Semi-Permanent Make-Up at Selston - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

Semi-permanent make-up is a cosmetic treatment that carefully applies pigment into the dermal layer of the skin, through a type of cosmetic tattooing. The pigment used in this treatment is a natural iron oxide. It's hypoallergenic and there are no fragrances, emollients or other added ingredients.

With semi-permanent make-up you can look your best, while putting in the least amount of effort. Having treatment stops you having to apply, reapply and remove make-up every day, and will always look as if it's been professionally applied.

Eyebrows
Naturally shaped eyebrows can frame the face and accentuate the eyes, and you can get different looks by using different techniques. You can choose powdered eyebrows, micro-blading,  HD brows or you can even have a few hair strokes, to fill in eyebrow gaps.

Eyeliner/ Lash Liner
You can have Semi-permanent liner that will suit your eye colour and complement your natural features. The practitioner will draw liner on your eyes before the treatment, giving you an idea of how the finished result will look. You can opt for a thin subtle line, a heavily defined liner or maybe a flick at the edges that will add a sassy finish to this look.

Lip Liner and Blush
This treatment can emphasise, correct or define the lips and it can prevent lipstick bleeding. You can beautifully accentuate your lips with a colour wash, giving your lips an attractive soft and natural look. The lip blush involves defining the shape along the lip line before progressing down and into the lip, adding the pigment into your natural lip colour.

There are lots of reasons why people have semi-permanent make-up treatment:
* Some women have little time for applying cosmetics every day
* To rectify over plucked eye brows, thinning lips or dull eyes
* Some women have sensitive skin or are allergic to the ingredients in make-up
* Arthritis or painful shaky hands can make applying make-up difficult
* Those with sparse hair growth, or have hair loss due to illness or alopecia

There's usually minimal discomfort, but topical anaesthetic cream can greatly reduce any minor discomfort. After treatment, the pigment on the skin might look a bit darker than you asked for, but the colour will lighten by up to 30%.after a few days.

The results look very natural, making your features look more defined and although it varies with every person, the results usually last between three to five years and in some cases could be longer.

Women want to look their best at all times, and it would be fantastic if they could do it with the least amount of effort. With semi-permanent make-up, it stops you having to apply, reapply and remove make-up every day, and it will always look professionally applied. Just imagine waking up looking fabulous, stepping out of the shower, the pool or the gym, confident that your make-up is still in place.

There are many reasons why people have semi-permanent make-up applied:
Convenience. Some busy women have little time for applying cosmetics every day
Those with sensitive skin or with allergies to conventional make-up
Ageing changes, over plucked eye brows, thinning lips or dull eyes
If they have arthritis or painful shaky hands
Women with vision problems or those who wear glasses or contact lenses
Women who just have sparse hair growth, or have hair loss due to alopecia
Those with oily skin who tend to shed make-up easily

Semi-permanent cosmetic treatment is when we carefully apply semi-permanent pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. The pigment is :
  • A natural iron oxide.
  • It's hypoallergenic
  • There are no fragrances, emollients or other added ingredients
Lip Liner and Lip Blush:
Lip liner treatment can emphasise, correct or define the lips and it can prevent lipstick bleeding. A colour wash over the lip area can beautifully accentuate your lips, giving an attractive soft and natural look. The lip blush involves working along the lip line, defining the shape before progressing down and into the lip, to contour the pigment into your natural lip colour.

Eyeliner/ Lash Liner:
Will give you a result that will complement your existing features and will suit your eye colour. The shape gets drawn on before the treatment, so you can see how the finished result will look. Whether it's a thin understated line, a clearer and more heavily defined liner or maybe an optional flick can add a gorgeous finish to this look.

Eyebrows
Natural looking, beautifully shaped eyebrows can accentuate the eyes, and frame the face, making it look more attractive. Different techniques can achieve different looks, from powdered brows, to microblading, to HD brows or even just adding a few hair strokes to fill in eyebrow gaps.

The results look very natural, making your features look more defined. Although it varies with every person, the results usually last between 3-5 years and in some cases could be longer. At first, the pigment on the treatment area might look darker than you wanted, but after a few days, the colour will lighten by up to 30%.

There's usually minimal discomfort, we can use topical anaesthetics to greatly reduce any minor discomfort and promote relaxation. Most clients feel absolutely nothing during treatment, except a prickly sensation in the area being treated.

Semi-Permanent Make-up Treatment at Selston Cosmetic Clinic - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

There are lots of reasons why people choose to have semi-permanent cosmetic make-up treatments. Whether it’s just about saving the time and hassle of applying make-up every day or maybe they want to change or enhance their natural features. Many people opt for semi-permanent cosmetics as they are often unable to wear conventional cosmetics. For instance, sports enthusiasts, those with a busy, active lifestyle, people with sensitive skin, allergies or visual impairment and alopecia sufferers could all benefit from semi-permanent make-up.

Semi-permanent make-up is a form of cosmetic tattooing, and is also known as micropigmentation. It's applied by inserting small amounts of pigment into the dermal layer of the skin to enhance a woman's features. The pigment goes into the second layer of the skin, creating a beautiful colour that resembles perfectly applied make-up.

Eyelashes
An eyelash enhancement will give the illusion of fuller thicker lashes. It will not only make you look more youthful but you will also save valuable time in the morning! They will add definition and improve the shape of your eyes.

Lips
As we get older we lose the natural definition around the mouth, causing the lips to appear thinner and less plump. When applying lipstick it often spreads into the fine lines giving a messy finish. Sometimes we lose pigment in the lips through age or illness or we may have naturally uneven lips.
Semi-permanent make up is a solution to a lot of these problems as we can create fullness and  definition, give the lips symmetry and a natural looking lip line. Applying a natural lip blush can match up your favourite lipstick colour meaning you will always be lip perfect! The lip blush technique is more advanced than the lip liner technique and makes the lips look more natural. We tattoo the lip line and shade into the natural lip.

Eyebrows can give the face a lift, and by just tidying up the brows here and there, you can lift the eye area, creating a natural looking arch and lift. We are not all blessed with naturally perfect eyebrows, and over plucking them is so easily done and can quickly leave us with sparse or poorly shaped brows. Some may have naturally good brows but just want to perfect them.

Eyebrows
Hair stroke brows can create an illusion of natural hair, this is perfect for those who have alopecia or have undergone chemotherapy or have just been too enthusiastic in the plucking and waxing! You might simply be fed up of wasting time drawing on your brows daily, or love the idea of going swimming or even touching your face without the fear of smudging those perfect brows.

HD Brows
The HD Brows eyebrow shaping procedure transforms the way you look and feel. We assess face shape and colouring before creating a bespoke brow, tailored exclusively for the client. Using our skills, from preparation and personal consultation to custom blending, designing, creating and tailoring the shape as well as customised aftercare, HD Brows stylists can transform a face.

Eyeliner
As we get older we lose definition around our eyes causing them to look dull and tired and just by having semi-permanent eyeliner applied is an example of how something so small can have a huge visual impact on the face.

Rebecca Dawn is now offering semi-permanent cosmetics and HD brows at Selston Cosmetic Clinic and offers a range of permanent and semi-permanent cosmetic treatments including eyelash enhancement, eyeliner, lip liner and blush, hair stroke and powder brows. We tailor every treatment for each client to suit their face shape, style and desired look.

At a consultation any questions will be answered, your needs discussed, and finally, the design created and approved by you before the treatment starts. Some clients want a subtle look whilst others go for a glamorous look. Rebecca’s clients can have perfectly shaped brows, defined eyes, enviable eyelashes and beautifully contoured lips – all without having to wear any make-up.

Working together we can create a look that is perfect for you, from natural and understated to the obvious and glamorous.
