Nose Shape Correction - Non-Surgical Nose Job - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

Because it's at the centre of your face, the most prominent facial feature is the nose as it projects itself outwards to greet anyone that looks at you and it's one of the first things that people see when they look at you. It's an important aspect to the overall facial balance and a well-formed nose can keep the shape of the face in proportion while not distracting from other features.

Noses get called everything from cute as a button to regal and anyone born with a less than perfect nose, whether it's too big, crooked, hooked or generally misshapen, it can throw off the overall balance of the face and really affect self-esteem. Skilfully applying make-up can help to play down any slight imperfections, but as long as the nose doesn’t look like an eagle’s beak, the chances are that it doesn't attract too much attention.

Noses come in all shapes and sizes :

Celestial Nose
It's thought that a celestial, or turned up nose is one of the most attractive of nose shapes. An upturned or concave nose points upwards at the tip instead of downwards. It could be a small or big nose but has the tip rising, enabling you to slightly see the nostrils. Actresses Kate Beckinsale and Scarlet Johansson both have a celestial nose.

Nubian Nose
This type of nose shape is often very long with a narrower bridge, wide nostrils and has a base that is very wide. It’s common among certain ethnic groups. President Barack Obama has a Nubian nose.

Roman Nose
A Roman nose, also known as a hook or aquiline nose has a prominent bridge and points downwards at the tip, but not  as much as the hawk-shaped nose. The word aquiline comes from the Latin word Aquilinus, which means eagle-like, likening the nose to the curved beak of an eagle. Barry Manilow and Tom Cruise both have a Roman nose.

 Hawk Nose
This type of nose has a deep hook at the tip, pointing downwards towards your lip. The shape of the ridge is often curved. Viewed from a profile, it is much like the beak of a hawk, hence its name. Singer Barbra Streisand and TV chef Antony Worrall Thompson have a hawk nose.

Snub Nose
A snub nose is short, small and doesn’t usually protrude to any great extent in any particular direction. This nose is small, sloping up at the tip, so that the nostrils are visible. The Snub nose is small and button-like with a slight widening that gives it an adorable look. Actress Carrie Mulligan has a snub nose.

Greek Nose
Greek noses are perfectly straight and generally have narrow nostrils and are considered to be very appealing! The Greek nose tops the list as the most beautiful of nose varieties and models usually have this powerful feature that complements the rest of their face. Actress Jennifer Anniston has a Greek nose.

A well-done rhinoplasty can subtly enhance your features and restore facial harmony.
Selston Cosmetic Clinic can help you if your nose is :
  • Slightly crooked
  • Hooked and requires straightening
  • Needs a bump on the bridge of the nose softening
  • Needs the nasal tip droop correcting

At the Selston Cosmetic Clinic, using Radiesse Dermal Filler, in most cases it's a genuine alternative to a surgical Rhinoplasty. The goal is to create symmetry in your face and this non-surgical nose job is ideal for clients who are reluctant to have traditional surgery. Just imagine how different your new nose could look!

A numbing cream gets applied 20 minutes before the procedure, then the Radiesse dermal filler is expertly injected into the appropriate nasal areas. This filler does not migrate or lump together in the tissues and when it does break down, 8 to 10 months later, it does so symmetrically and evenly.

A non-surgical nose job is a simple and quick procedure, requiring a high level of expertise from the cosmetic physician. You can return to work the next day with your new improved nose!
