Replace Volume & Enhance The Cheeks With Dermal Filler - Nottingham, Derby,Mansfield & Chesterfield

High cheekbones are a sign of youth and beauty, but as we age the cheeks can start to lose volume, and though loose skin often gets the blame for facial ageing, it's the loss of volume that's really the main cause.

The structure of our face changes as we grow older, not just the skin's quality but also the underlying support, including the bones, muscles and the fat. The face can begin to shrink in some places which makes the fat and muscle become thinner and more elastic, and gravity will cause fat to slide downwards, leading to jowls and nasolabial lines from the corner of the nose to the corner of the mouth.

People have different face shapes, some have flat cheeks, others have high cheekbones or maybe they might have apple cheeks. If someone's said to have a baby face they will typically have fuller cheeks, which can make them look younger than others of a similar age. Genetics can decide the shape of the cheeks, as well as bone structure, muscle and fat distribution. The reason some people have full, defined apple cheeks and others have cheeks that are flat is down to gravity. It's a pad of fat under the cheeks which causes the fullness, and it's this that tends to slide lower down the face as we get older.

Hollows in the cheeks are caused by loss of fat from beneath the skin, which on a more mature face can look very ageing. Cheek enhancement by a cosmetic practitioner can restore the fullness using dermal fillers. A subtle enhancing of your cheeks can create the kind of bone structure which we all want to show off.

Benefits of cheek filler injections:

* Treatment uses safe market-leading dermal fillers
* Free consultation with a practitioner who is highly trained in aesthetic facial treatments
* Quick treatment time and immediate results
* Virtually pain-free treatment, as a topical anaesthetic numbs the area being treated
* Minimal bruising and down time
* Excellent after care treatment

Many people think that high cheekbones are a very attractive facial feature and adding volume with dermal filler can give the face a natural-looking symmetry, balance, and a more feminine appearance. Cheek augmentation can enhance your facial contours and balance your features. Dermal fillers can also reshape the face, reducing signs of ageing and by adding volume to the cheeks it will give the face a natural-looking symmetry, and a youthful balance.

Ease Nasolabial Grooves With Dermal Filler - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

Everyone who looks at our face can easily see any obvious signs of ageing, after all, it's not a feature we can hide. How fast these signs of ageing happen varies from one person to another. There are lots of things which contribute to these changes, such as; our lifestyle, environment, genetics and our gender.

Dermal filler injections can improve lots of specific areas from ageing signs, with treatments such as; non-surgical nose-jobs, replacing volume in the chin, cheeks and tear troughs, plumping up thinning lips and improving the deep folds of laughter lines.

Deep nasolabial folds, or laugh lines are the large visible lines that run from the nose to the side of the mouth. Genetics and our facial structure partially decide how prominent and deep the nasolabial folds will get, and repeated facial expressions and the ageing process will exaggerate the lines, making them deeper.

The natural ageing process and the effects of excessive sun exposure can result in the face losing collagen, fat and elasticity, causing the face to sag and lose volume. Losing weight can also affect the face and sometimes not in a good way, as gravity can pull down fat and soft tissue which usually sits high up on the cheeks, causing sagging cheeks. This combined with the effects of gravity can cause nasolabial lines to appear. The smile lines go from the mouth to the nose, and these folds separate the cheeks from the upper lip, generally becoming more pronounced the older we get.

Cosmetic treatments can treat facial ageing in many ways by using effective treatments. Dermal fillers can successfully restore areas of lost volume and injections of hyaluronic acid based filler will also smooth out lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers are highly effective in correcting nasolabial lines. The filler adds extra fullness to where wrinkles and folds are most prominent, smoothing out lines and restoring and enhancing the facial shape. Fillers will improve your looks, enhance your profile and leave your face with a natural expression. They are a non-invasive, cost-effective alternative to invasive cosmetic surgery and the correction or softening of these folds gives your face a youthful fresher look.

Any side effects, such as redness, swelling, or bruising from the injections, are usually instantaneous, but quickly subside, and a numbing cream can easily be applied to minimise any discomfort. Injectable dermal fillers are an ideal treatment to temporarily improve fine lines, wrinkles and deep-set folds such as nasolabial lines as they can thicken the skin, reduce the lines and also restore and moisturise the skin.

Tear Troughs - Fill In Eye Hollows With Dermal Filler - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

Fresh looking eyes are a big asset to our overall facial appearance, we want to make a good first impression when we meet someone, we don't want them to only notice how tired and drawn we look. As we get older our face changes, and we begin to notice things like loss of volume and the skin getting thinner, and this, along with a natural decrease in fatty tissue and a loss of skin elasticity will cause the area beneath the eye to become puffy and shadowy.

The natural depression that follows the curve of the eye socket, from the nose around to the underside of the eye is known as the tear trough, because that’s where the tears gather. Getting dark circles beneath the eyes are a common problem as we age, and they can make us look weary. As well as ageing; smoking, the environment and stress can also contribute to shadows and eye bags, making them look worse.

When we're young, distribution of fat in our face is even, with some fat pockets plumping up the cheeks, forehead, temples and around the eyes and the mouth. As we get older, we lose volume as the fat shifts downward, making the features that were once rounded start to sink and become gaunt. This means that other parts of the face gain some fat, which tends to settle under the chin and around the jowls in the neck.

The skin around the eyes is very thin and we can see the underlying capillaries much easier compared to other parts of the face, making any diminished circulation, puffiness or swelling much more noticeable. Replacing volume in the under eye area can reshape the entire face and dermal fillers are now regularly used to fill in the hollows. Filling in these depressions can take away the tired look on your face and lighten the dark circles around the eyes.

Tear trough treatment will:
  • Banish dark circles and bags from under the eye
  • Ease wrinkles and lines
  • Add volume to the under-eye area
  • Get instant results that will last around 6-8 months
  • Leave you feeling and looking more youthful

Tear trough treatment using dermal fillers is a non-surgical procedure that can restore your looks instantly. The filler gets precisely injected into the skin using very fine needles, re-creating the plump, firm skin that your under eye area used to have. A good cosmetic doctor with experience of injecting dermal fillers will have a trained eye for what looks good and what will suit your face. It's important to avoid an overdone and unnatural look, aiming instead for natural-looking results to make you look younger and more refreshed.

Restore Lost Volume In Your Lips With Dermal Fillers - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

None of us have perfect lips throughout our lifetime, so if you feel self-conscious that your lips have become thinner or they seem to disappear when you smile, then a lip augmentation might be the answer. It's an ideal treatment for those with thin lips or those who think having fuller lips will help to balance out their face.

If you're disheartened by a gradual loss in volume in the lips, or you'd prefer more definition in the shape or maybe you want a more defined border, then a cosmetic treatment using a small amount of filler can quickly rectify all your concerns. As we get older, we can notice a loss of plumpness in the lips, but this lost volume can easily be restored with dermal filler treatment.

Lip augmentation is one of the most popular treatments at Selston Cosmetic Clinic. This treatment will smooth out the fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth area and can shape and add volume to the lips, all helping to create the perfect overall look to enhance your facial features.

Wrinkles
A lip filler injection will boost the hydration levels to the upper and lower lips, This will hydrate the lips as well as smoothing the fine lines and wrinkles.

Thin lips
Some of us have naturally thin lips or else they lose volume as we age. A non-permanent filler made from hyaluronic acid can boost volume in the lip area. Hyaluronic acid is a natural ingredient which gets broken down by the body over time, and can also be dissolved if you don't like the results.

Mouth and lip lines
The vertical lines around the mouth are a particular problem for women as it can cause lipstick bleed. Dermal fillers can soften these lines, enhancing the mouth area and giving it a more youthful look.

Shape
The edges of the lips will become less defined as we get older, as over time, the collagen and elastin breaks down and the lips lose their pouting shape, and lines begin to develop around the lips.

Undefined lips
Filler added to the vermilion border, improve the definition and minimize lip bleed and give a better outline.

Lip augmentation treatment will:
  • Increase the volume
  • Improve the outline and definition
  • Achieve a more symmetrical look
  • Enhance the contours of the lips
  • Reduce lines and wrinkles
Lip augmentation is a quick procedure with almost no downtime. Any side effects such as swelling, bruising or redness are temporary and will resolve within a few days. Any lumps or bumps can easily be gently massaged out and will settle within a couple of days. After filler treatment, you should keep your lips moisturised and use a moisturising sun block.

Injectable Nose Jobs to Improve Your Facial Profile - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

An uneven or bumpy nose can alter the entire look of the face, and camouflaging these bumps or indentations can create a more symmetrical and appealing facial profile. If you're unhappy with the shape of your nose it can cause self-esteem issues. If there's a prominent bump on your nose, it isn't straight or has a dip, and the thought of having your photo taken with your face in profile fills you with dread, then cosmetic treatment using dermal fillers can help.

Most people's worries about their noses are that they look unbalanced, maybe there's a prominent bump on the bridge of the nose, a mild drooping of the nasal tip or they might just want more height and definition. Although putting filler into the nose is technically making the nose ever so slightly bigger, once it's straightened and balanced out, the result will give your face a more beautiful, balanced, and even look.

Having a cosmetic treatment for an injectable nose job is much simpler than a having a surgical nose job, but there is a limit on what's achievable. Dermal filler treatments are great for those who want small refinements and don't want to go through with the pain, the extended recovery time, or the risks of surgery.

A non-surgical nose job is a quick, pain-free procedure, as there is an anaesthetic in the dermal filler. After the injections you'll have to take care as the filler is quite malleable so the cosmetic doctor can compress and mould it, allowing him to give you a nose that's the perfect shape for your face. Nose jobs using dermal filler are temporary and last about 18 months, so eventually you will need a top-up.

 The benefits:
  • The treatment will give immediate results
  • The recovery is quick and there are no scars
  • The injections are pain-free
  • You can go straight back to your normal activities
  • You can wear make-up straight after your treatment
  • There's no invasive surgery and no anaesthetic
Dermal filler nose jobs are ideal if you have a special occasion coming up where you want to feel confident and look your best, especially if there are lots of photos being taken, where the images will be on show for years to come. We all want to look the best we can and this will give us much more self-confidence.

Enhance Your Lips With Dermal Fillers - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

It's important to keep our lips looking good because they are one of the main focal points of the face. We can keep our lips in great condition all year round, we don't have to wait for a special occasion to pamper them, so if we're not happy with the look of our lips, or the cold weather has left them dry and chapped, we don't have to despair, there are solutions.

Dermal fillers can enhance the lips and the area around the mouth, giving it a more youthful look. If you're worried about dry, chapped lips or maybe you're unhappy with their size or shape, there's expert help available to help you get them back into a beautiful condition.

The delicate skin on the lips is very susceptible to harsh weather and they need extra care to keep them in peak condition:
  • Exfoliate the lips - Removing dead skin from the lips will keep them smooth, making it easier to apply lipstick. To exfoliate, use a soft toothbrush and Vaseline to brush over the lips once a week.
  • Dry lips - If you have dead skin on your lips, try not to lick or pick at them. Use lip balm to keep them hydrated, as licking your lips will dry them out more, and picking at any dead skin can lead to bleeding.
  • Longer lasting lipstick - Putting a little powder foundation on your lips and then blotting, will help keep the lipstick on your lips for longer. Dust a little translucent powder over your lips, then apply another coat of lipstick.
  • Lipstick - If you're going to wear lipstick, make sure you exfoliate your lips as any crust or dead skin on your lips becomes instantly noticeable.
Your lips might be too thin; either through age or genetics, you may have smokers lines around them or maybe they aren't symmetrical; all these things can lower your self-confidence. Lip size and shape can easily be enhanced using dermal fillers; they will add volume, giving a fuller appearance to your lips. Sometimes, just a small amount of filler can make all the difference, and you can get beautiful results, without necessarily adding lots of volume.

Dermal fillers will soften the lines and prevent lipstick bleeds. This treatment enhances the area around the mouth, giving it a more youthful look. The treatment can sometimes make people nervous, as women imagine themselves coming out of the clinic with over inflated lips, putting many women off lip treatments, but if you have your fillers done at a reputable clinic, then this isn't the reality, because a reputable clinic will always discuss your desired outcome at your consultation.

Enhance Your Face With Dermal Fillers - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

We get deep lines and folds in the skin as we get older because ageing causes the skin to lose elasticity and collagen, and it's this that makes our face begin to sag and look gaunt. We would all like to correct sunken cheeks and the hollows beneath our eyes to regain the plump fullness of skin from our youth, and dermal fillers are a great option for those wishing to lose these deep folds and lines on the face, but don't wish to have invasive cosmetic surgery.

Dermal fillers on tear troughs
We shouldn't confuse dermal fillers with botox, because although we inject both of these treatments into the face, we use botox to stop the muscle movement which causes wrinkles, while we use fillers to add volume to the face. This involves placing the fillers in strategic places to lift the cheeks and jowls, give volume to the lips and fill deep lines and hollows. Filler treatment can improve your looks, enhance your profile and leave your face with a natural expression.

Dermal fillers are ideal for these areas:
  • Tear troughs - this treatment gives a natural filled out appearance, correcting the hollows beneath the eyes.
  • Marionette lines - these lines run from the corners of the mouth, down towards the chin, causing deep creases which lead to jowls or a poorly defined jaw line. These are often a result of volume loss in the upper and mid face, combined with the effects of gravity.
  • Nasolabial lines - these are the deep lines from the nose to the mouth, where deep creasing can occur. Often these are a result of volume loss in the cheeks and temples.
  • Cheek Augmentation - loss of volume in the cheeks flattens the mid face. Dermal fillers are an effective treatment that instantly adds volume to cheeks, giving an immediately more youthful appearance.
  • Forehead wrinkles - Frown lines are the vertical lines between the eyebrows, and they are one of the most common signs of ageing. Dermal fillers are perfect for softening and minimizing the very deep lines which are visible, even when your forehead is at rest.
  • Lip enhancement - dermal fillers will give your lips better definition, reduce lipstick bleed and will enhance thin, ageing or asymmetrical lips. Filler treatment is a perfect solution to give you fuller, healthier looking lips, reducing smoker's lines and lifting mouth corners.
Dermal filler treatment for cheek enhancement
Dermal fillers are a non-surgical treatment, used to plump up depressions in the skin. The main reason for depressions in the skin are wrinkles, lines and loss of volume caused by the ageing process. Dermal fillers work by plumping up the treated area and making it level with the rest of the skin, filling out any depressed areas such as wrinkles or sunken cheeks. A very fine needle injects the filler into the treatment area, which adds more structure and firmness to the face.

Benefits;
  • It's a non-invasive treatment with little downtime, allowing you to return to normal activities straight away
  • Fillers reduce lines and wrinkles to give a more youthful looking appearance
  • They will replenish lost volume for a softer, younger look
  • The results are long-lasting
Lip enhancement
As we age, it is well-known that the skin loses its smoothness, and this happens because the body's natural levels of collagen reduce with age. This loss of shape and firmness is a problem that dermal fillers can rectify. During the injection treatment, most people report only a slight discomfort, so the treatment usually doesn't need an anaesthetic. After treatment, you can go straight back to your normal activities. The results are usually seen instantly and will last for around six to eight months.

Erase Laugh Lines with Dermal Fillers - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

Facial expressions are a huge part of our life, and the more mobile the expressions we use when we talk, smile or laugh, the greater chance that deep laugh lines will develop at a younger age. People often feel that laugh lines will make their face look fatigued or drawn, but it's when these lines become more pronounced, that they become a problem.

Nasolabial folds are the two folds of skin that run from each side of the nose to the corners of the mouth. They are natural facial contours which are commonly known as smile lines or laughter lines. Nasolabial folds can appear on the face of people as early as their 20's and they can be relatively fine, maybe just a fine wrinkle or become a deep fold, to the point that the skin above seems to hang over it.

There are several ways of reducing nasolabial folds, from topical treatments, to more invasive courses of action.
  • Creams and Serums - Using topical creams and serums may only be a short-term solution. Most of these creams contain ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid which improves the way the skin retains moisture, tretinoin which slows the breakdown of collagen, and exfoliants which help remove dead skin cells.
  • Cosmetic Surgery - Surgery is an expensive but long-term solution for reducing nasolabial folds, but it's an invasive surgical procedure and it's not a decision to take lightly. A facelift can reduce laugh lines, as the tightening of the skin makes the folds more shallow and less noticeable.
  • Dermal Fillers - Fillers offer the most effective non-surgical method for treating these lines. Non-permanent dermal fillers present a non-invasive and cost-effective means of treatment.
These facial lines are part of our normal anatomy and they can develop at any age and in fact, many of us grow up with a slight hint of laugh lines, but with time as we grow older, the fold can seem deeper as our skin loses volume. As we age we lose the elasticity in the skin, and our facial muscles weaken, making this area one of the first places to sag.

Dermal filler treatment usually takes 30-45 minutes and a local anaesthetic injection is usually given to minimise any potential discomfort. Correction or softening of these folds gives you a youthful fresher look and the results achieved by using dermal fillers for treating the nasolabial folds are stunning and natural looking.

Anti-Ageing Treatments Help to Keep You Looking Younger - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

When we are young, fat is distributed evenly in the face, with little pockets here and there that plump up the cheeks, forehead, temples and areas around the eyes and mouth. However, as we age, the face loses volume, so rounder features may sink and skin that was smooth and tight, becomes looser and begins to sag.

There are lots of things that cause our skin to age. With the passing of time we will all get visible lines and wrinkles and it's natural for our face to lose some of its fullness. The skin on our face is thinner and more delicate than the rest of our body which is perhaps one of the reasons that we can see the fine lines and wrinkles more easily.

Botox treatment areas

Ageing is a fact of life and some of the things we notice about our skin includes:
  • Wrinkly skin - In time, ageing skin becomes thinner due to reduction of elastin and collagen.
  • Thinner skin - The rate of skin cell turnover reduces in ageing skin, which results in thinner crêpe-like skin.
  • Sagging - Less production of elastin and collagen means ageing skin is more vulnerable to the effects of gravity.
  • Age spots - Pigment cells in the skin increase in certain areas and cluster together, resulting in sun spots, freckles or liver spots.
  • Dryness - The ageing skin has fewer sweat glands and oil glands and is prone to dryness.
  • Facial thread veins - The blood vessels in ageing thin skin are more likely to break, bruise or become permanently dilated, resulting in broken veins.

Some things, like the natural ageing process, we can't do anything about, but other things we can influence, such as smoking, sun damage, excess alcohol, stress and lack of sleep, which can all play a part in ageing us faster. Our environment and lifestyle choices are partly to blame for our skin ageing prematurely, but by taking some preventive actions, we can slow the effects that this type of ageing has on our skin.

At Selston Cosmetic Clinic the following treatments are available for ageing skin:

* Botox
* Medical Microdermabrasion

Straighten Your Nose with a Non-Surgical Nose-Job - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

The nose is the most prominent facial feature, and projecting itself outwards makes it one of the first things people see when you meet. The shape of your nose often defines the facial structure, so if we aren't happy with the way it looks, it can make us feel self-conscious when we interact with others. Whether you have a crooked nose, have a bump or dent or just feel it's too long, there are ways to enhance and reshape the nose.

Dermal filler treatment, is a genuine alternative to a surgical rhinoplasty and a non-surgical nose job is ideal for clients who are reluctant to have traditional invasive surgery. During the treatment, a numbing cream gets applied 20 minutes before the procedure, then the filler is expertly injected into the selected nasal areas. The filler doesn't migrate or lump together in the tissues, and when it breaks down, 8 to 10 months later, it does so symmetrically and evenly.

A well-done non-surgical rhinoplasty using dermal fillers can subtly enhance your features and restore facial harmony if your nose is:
  • Slightly crooked.
  • Hooked and requires straightening.
  • Needs a bump on the bridge of the nose softening.
  • Needs the nasal tip droop correcting.

Noses come in all shapes and sizes:

* Celestial Nose - an upturned or concave nose points upwards at the tip instead of downwards. It could be a small or big nose but has the tip rising, enabling you to slightly see the nostrils.
* Nubian Nose - this type of nose shape is often very long with a narrower bridge, wide nostrils and has a base that is very wide. It's common among certain ethnic groups.
* Roman Nose - a Roman nose is also known as a hook or aquiline nose. The prominent bridge points downwards at the tip, but not as much as the hawk-shaped nose.
* Hawk Nose - this type of nose has a deep hook at the tip, pointing downwards towards your lip. The shape of the ridge is often curved. Viewed from a profile, it is much like the beak of a hawk, hence its name.
* Snub Nose - a snub nose is short, small and doesn't usually protrude to any great extent in any particular direction. This nose is small, sloping up at the tip, so that the nostrils are visible.
* Greek Nose - these are perfectly straight and generally have narrow nostrils. The Greek nose tops the list as the most beautiful of nose varieties and fashion and catwalk models usually have this powerful feature that complements the rest of their face.

A non-surgical nose job is a simple and quick procedure, and requires a high level of ability from the cosmetic practitioner. The results are instant and you can return to work the next day.

Before & After - Non-Surgical Nose Jobs - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

Most of us are happy enough with our face, but sometimes we aren't as happy with the shape of our nose. Noses come in all shapes and sizes, and when we're unhappy with our nose or we want to; restore its shape after an injury, straighten a lump or bump on the top or maybe we just want to have a better profile, then this is when we usually decide to visit a cosmetic doctor.

A non-surgical nose job, also known as rhinoplasty, has remained one of the most asked for cosmetic procedures and is an ideal option for those not interested in going under the knife and undergoing a traditional surgical nose job. A non-surgical nose job is a cosmetic procedure which injects dermal filler into the nose to smooth out nasal bumps and lumps without using a scalpel, and one which will achieve moderate nose shaping.

A skilled cosmetic doctor will inject dermal fillers to fill depressions or add volume to the nose or in the surrounding tissue to create the look you desire. The non-surgical nose job is a cosmetic procedure which can level out lumps, lift the angle of the tip, or smooth the bumps on the bridge, but what it can't do is make someone's nose smaller.

Benefits of nose filler
  • It's a great boost for your self-confidence.
  • No downtime, you can return to work the following day.
  • This procedure is performed using local anaesthetic.
  • Fast treatment time and instant dramatic results.
  • The cost is a lot less than the price of a surgical nose job.
Liquid filler nose jobs actually add to the nose but after injections with fillers, the nose does seem smaller because with the lumps and bumps levelled out it creates an optical illusion. Twenty minutes before the procedure, the area is given a numbing application and then the dermal filler is expertly injected into the required nasal areas.

Other than some minor bruising, there are generally no side effects from dermal filler treatments, so most people return to work the same day, or the day after their treatment. The filler doesn't migrate or lump together in the tissues and when it does break down 8 to 10 months later, it does so symmetrically and evenly.

Noses come in all shapes and sizes, but luckily we don't have to keep the one we were born with. These days we can choose to have the nose we have always wanted.

Lip Filler Treatment in Time For Christmas - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

There aren't many of us blessed with perfect lips, some have thin flat lips and others have lines and wrinkles around the edges of the mouth. Sometimes we need a little help to get the lips we wish we had. When people look at us, our lips are often the focus of attention, and the shape and fullness that we would like isn't always there. Like the rest of our body, the passing of time will eventually show on our lips and they'll start to lose volume, we'll notice fine lines and wrinkles around the edges and get lipstick bleeding into the creases.

Sometimes we get self-conscious about our smile, or we notice our lip starting to disappear when we speak or smile, or maybe we simply want to balance out the upper and bottom lip proportions, this is the time to consider dermal fillers. Enhancing the lips can accentuate our facial appearance and dermal filler treatment can put back the volume in the lips and restore their shape. It's a safe, fast and well-tolerated treatment, which leaves the lips looking and feeling natural.

Although ageing plays a part in forming lip lines, the good news is that we can do something about it. At Selston Cosmetic Clinic we have had fantastic results using lip fillers to add volume to the lips and to banish lip creases. Dr Bassi is a fully trained cosmetic practitioner in advanced filler techniques, and as no two faces are the same, he tailors every filler treatment to each client.

At the clinic we recommend any of the following fillers for lip crease correction;
  • Restylane range
  • Juvederm Ultra 2
  • Teosyal Fine Lines

The lip procedure takes about 20-30 minutes and there'll be a small amount of swelling afterwards and maybe some bruising. The swelling usually resolves itself within a day or two, but any minor bruising can easily be covered with make-up.

A lip treatment can add volume to the lips and take the lines from around the mouth, it will enhance the look of the entire face and give you some added confidence. With Christmas and the festive party season fast approaching, what better time to enhance the lips so they're ready to pucker up under the mistletoe.

Many women can become concerned about their appearance as they get older, and they can feel really anxious about having thin, undefined lips. The lips are one of the facial features that represent health and vitality, and most women want plump, luscious lips that look young and healthy, but lots of women don't have naturally full lips, and others lose lip volume through ageing.

We can get distressed to notice our lips becoming thinner and losing their definition, but a lip treatment can create fuller lips while diminishing fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth. Lip fillers are an easy, quick, affordable and non-invasive treatment which will that give you youthful looking, plump lips and as well as a more defined smile.

Lip fillers can treat many areas of the lips:
  • Create definition on the vermilion border

A lip filler treatment uses injectable filler in the lips to add volume and shape. You can get back youthful looking lips by having specialized lip fillers which are hyaluronic acid based.

The benefits of lip fillers;
  • The hyaluronic acid filler is safe
  • Easy, quick treatment
  • Non-permanent
  • Effective and beautiful results
  • Only clinically approved and regulated products used

Lip fillers use hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance that's found in the body. It attracts water to the skin, plumping it up and giving the skin elasticity and volume. Lip fillers are temporary and last up to eight months. Over time the hyaluronic acid is gradually broken up as the mouth constantly moves for eating, talking and making facial expressions, and it disperses safely into the body.

Lots of people see results within 24 hours of having lip filler injections. Any swelling will go down after a few hours, leaving you with fuller, smoother lips that will last for up to eight months. An anaesthetic cream gets applied to the lips before the treatment and all you will feel is the pinch of a needle. There's no bruising or bleeding and only minimal swelling and you'll be able to return to your normal activities straight away.

Restore Facial Volume & Reduce Wrinkles With A Liquid Face Lift Treatment - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

These days there are so many treatments available to rejuvenate the skin, it's hard to know which one is the best for you. As the years pass by, we start to notice all the new visible signs of ageing as they start to show on the face. The skin loses collagen and elasticity and will start sagging, which will cause us to get jowls. We can also lose facial volume, making the cheeks and temples look flat and hollow, and the lips can become thinner and less defined. Wrinkles and fine lines will also, sooner or later, make their presence felt.

The liquid face lift can address the signs of ageing without the need for any surgical intervention and it's an effective alternative to a traditional face lift. This particular treatment can help men and women look refreshed, without having surgery or getting any scars. It's a fast treatment that's minimally invasive, has long-lasting results and a short recovery time.

The liquid face lift has made an impact in anti-ageing treatments during the past few years, and it helps to correct the upper, mid and lower areas of the face, giving us a refreshed appearance that's subtle and entirely natural-looking. The liquid face lift procedure uses injectable treatments; precisely placed dermal fillers to help increase the volume and shape of your face and botox to ease the wrinkles, folds and creases also helping to prevent more lines and wrinkles forming.

Botox
The botox injections will freshen up the face, softening lines and wrinkles, eliminating frown lines, crows feet and forehead furrows. Precisely placed, botox can also give you an eye lift and lift the corners of the mouth.

Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers will add volume; to fill out the cheeks, boost the lips and create a softly contoured, younger looking face. Some of the most ageing lines and creases on the face are in the area between the nose and mouth, and these can leave your face looking tired and aged, but they can easily be corrected with fillers.

By using dermal filler and botox injections, it's now possible for a skilled cosmetic doctor to help you look younger in a short amount of time. These treatments will help to restore the skin and facial contours back to their former youthful appearance, and afterwards you'll not only appreciate your reflection in the mirror, but you'll also get a boost in your self-confidence.

These days there are more options than ever for making ourselves looking younger. If you want to reduce wrinkles, restore facial fullness and rejuvenate your skin without having a surgical procedure, then a non-surgical liquid face lift is an ideal alternative, which involves no surgery and no scars.

Anti-Ageing Botox & Filler Treatments - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

It seems that growing old gracefully is no longer an option for lots of women, and some men, and more of us are opting to get some help to slow down the signs of ageing. These days, we are always reading about celebrities having cosmetic treatments, and we find it completely acceptable. People decide they want smoother skin or plumper lips, and they see no reason to wait. There's quite a number of non-surgical anti-ageing treatments available, and the most popular of these are botox and dermal fillers.

Dr Bassi - Cosmetic doctor at Selston Cosmetic Clinic
At a free consultation at Selston Cosmetic Clinic, you and your doctor will discuss the common side effects that might happen after a treatment, and it's here that you can ask any questions you might have. The doctor will take a full assessment of your facial anatomy, discuss which parts of your face concern you and what you expect the outcome to look like, and then he will tailor a treatment plan that is specific to you.

Cosmetic injections should only be performed by medically qualified doctors, nurses or practitioners, in an appropriate sanitised medical setting, using equipment that's been sterilised. If you've never had any injectable treatments before, you might feel a bit apprehensive of needle injections and having chemicals put into your body, but it's normal to feel anxious about what to expect. It's inevitable that you will feel a mild discomfort with a needle injection, but this needle is so fine, that it even amazes those with a fear of needles at the small amount of discomfort they feel.

Anti-ageing injectable treatments help to make skin look smoother, add volume to a face that has lost its fat and give symmetry and volume to the lip area. Redness, mild swelling a bit of bruising around the injection area after your treatment is normal, and usually goes down within a couple of days.

Botox - The results of botox injections can give you a look as dramatic, or as subtle as you want, but the best results are those which leave you with a natural look that makes you look refreshed and rejuvenated, and the best results will leave you looking well rested, instead of overdone or fake. We all have different sensitivities and some of us are more tolerant to pain than others, but botox requires just a simple injection with an extremely fine needle, so most people find the experience only mildly discomforting.

Fillers - The main constituent in dermal filler is hyalauronic acid, which is a substance naturally present in the body, which gets injected into different areas on the face, to restore lost volume to enhance the cheeks, chin, lips or nose, and to treat deeper lines, wrinkles, folds and creases. To make the procedure more comfortable, anaesthetic cream can help with any discomfort. During filler treatment, the skin may become slightly red and swollen but this will tend to settle after a few hours.

Lip fillers - Nobody's lips are the same, so when discussing it with the doctor at your consultation, they will help you decide the right amount of filler needed, and which particular lip shape or size will suit your face. Applying topical anaesthetic cream before your treatment will numb the lips, making the procedure more comfortable. The procedure only takes a few minutes, and any discomfort is minimal for most people.

Define & Contour the Jaw Line with Dermal Fillers - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

Time takes its toll on our face as we get older, and as it goes through so much, it's understandable that sometimes it might need a bit of TLC. As well as changes to the texture of the skin, such as dryness, fine lines and wrinkles, the face also changes shape as we age. Loss of fat in the upper face, plus the effects of gravity can cause the skin to droop downwards, and this can lead to jowls, causing a loss of definition in the jaw line.

The jaw is what separates our face from our neck, but over time we lose definition in the jaw line which blurs the distinction between the two areas. Dermal fillers are able to correct and get back a beautifully defined jaw. A square jaw can look good on some men, who see it as the typically masculine face shape, but jaw line contouring is also ideal for women who have a square shape to the jaw, and want to get a softer, more feminine look.

Over time, the jaw line begins to sag as we lose volume from the face, which causes it to droop and fall forward. The sag can become quite significant, causing a previously straight jaw to change into a wavy one.

Dermal fillers can correct a sagging jaw and help to recover the straight jaw line of our youth. Dermal fillers can easily be injected into the jowl area to disguise the jowls by blending them into the adjacent areas, hiding the jowls and giving the jaw a straighter line.

Dermal filler is a highly successful treatment which gets impressive results. Fillers get injected along the jaw line using a tiny cannula or a small fine needle into the jowl area and this makes the jaw line look straighter. As a result, the male jaw line becomes wider and straighter and more masculine and has a more defined angle at the base of the jaw, while the female jaw line still has a more feminine gentle curve and softness to the contour of the jaw.

A jaw enhancement will benefit:
  • Those with a weak jaw line
  • Men who want a more chiselled jaw
  • Those who can see signs of ageing in the jaw line
  • Those who want a softer jaw line

Enhancing and contouring the jaw using dermal filler injections can effectively alter the outline of the jaw area  This treatment is popular, due to its instant results, natural feel and the easy ability of the injections and the little to no downtime.
