What To Expect From a Vaser Lipo Procedure - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

Deciding to have Vaser Lipo is not something that's taken lightly by most people, because after all, it's a big decision. The Vaser Lipo procedure can be used on most parts of the body, from small places like the chin or larger areas, such as the back and the abdomen. VASER stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance, and it uses ultrasound technology to break down fat cells.

On the day of the procedure, over the counter painkillers can be taken beforehand if needed, and if it's a big area being treated or your pain threshold is low, maybe something stronger can be taken - this can be discussed with Dr. Bassi during the initial consultation.

Once the patient is on the bed and covered in sterile sheets, the procedure begins. The treatment area is injected with a saline and local anaesthetic solution, which numbs the site and shrinks the blood vessels which will minimise any blood loss and will reduce the risk of bruising. The fluid injected will make the area expand in volume temporarily, making it easier to break up fatty tissue with the Vaser Lipo's ultrasound energy.

Dr. Bassi will make a couple of small cuts between the skin and the muscle layer and will then insert a small thin probe. The ultrasound transmits waves of high frequency through this probe and this loosens and liquefies the fat cells on contact, without harming the surrounding connective tissues, vessels, and nerves. A gentle suction process then removes the liquefied fat. After this, Dr. Bassi also uses a probe which tightens the skin. Results will be immediate and once the swelling and bruising has subsided, you will get a clear indication of your new contours. There will then be a gradual and continual improvement and at about six months you will be able to see your final shape.

Afterwards, there will be some leakage from the small incisions, as some of the saline fluid will still be in the body after the procedure, and although this will eventually be eliminated by the Lymphatic System, we will show you how to massage the area to eliminate the liquid.

After Vaser Lipo, MLD (Manual Lymphatic Drainage) massage helps to unblock and drain damaged areas, preventing fluid becoming trapped. The size of the area treated will dictate how many sessions you will need. Selston Cosmetic Clinic has now performed over 1500 cosmetic procedures and a considerable number of these clients have had their post op care with our clinic. Post op care involves ultrasound therapy, MLD massage/deep tissue massage. Treatment area's that are small can be massaged by the patient themselves at home.

Directly after Vaser treatment and during post-operative recovery, the patient has to wear a compression garment, which promotes faster healing. This garment is a tight-fitting fabric, rather like spanx, and is worn over the treated area, which helps reduce the swelling of the surrounding area. This compression garment is worn for 4-6 weeks (the doctor will recommend a time frame) and this will help the skin contract and achieve proper contours. Although wearing the compression garment can feel uncomfortable, it will make sure that your Vaser Lipo results are the best possible.

It's important to have realistic expectations about the results you'll get from Vaser and what you would like to achieve. Dr Bassi has vast experience in Vaser Lipo, and he has continuously performed this procedure many hundreds of times since it's arrival to the UK in 2008. If you are fit and well within or close to your BMI, have skin that is still elastic, then you will reap the rewards from Vaser Lipo.

Fabulous Results..Vaser Lipo Nottingham

This young lady has been coming to us for a while for various treatments. Chatting one day, she was intrigued about other procedures we perform at Selston. We told her all about Vaser Lipo and how it was one of our much asked about and performed treatments.

She explained she had gone through a very early menopause and subsequently put on a substantial amount of weight that she could not shift even though she leads a very active lifestyle. 

She is a professional by day and a DJ by night involving lots of dancing and jigging about! 

On her next visit to us she had decided she was going to go forward with the treatment and booked herself in.

She was to have her full font done in one procedure, then was going to come back and have her flanks done another day.

Dr Bassi did Vaser on her upper and lower abs and she came back to see me for her aftercare. From day two she was looking extremely flat and she was one over the moon girl! We kept up with her massages and her boyfriend pummelled her inbetween our sessions.

The old saying, you cant turn a sow's ear into a silk purse... well think again!

Look at these pictures of Vaser Lipo.. what a difference in the before shot to the after video... we think he looks pretty fab!

We were expecting pretty average results from this guy.. as you can see he is pretty overweight and had let it all go. What a surprise to see him some time later looking like he had been hanging around a gym ;)

We feel we under promised but over achieved with our results in this case. Our man also post vaser lipo adopted a healthy lifestyle and did attend the gym occasionally, i.e, once or twice a week. 

Before lipo he would try to lose weight, he would slim down but end up with a gaunt looking face. 

He followed his post op care religiously which included lots of ultrasound and massages right up until his 4 week review. 

Vaser lipo is great at de bulking if you want a slimmer look and want to look good in your clothes.

Vaser lipo is an ideal way to sculpt and define the body and target problem areas. If you are fit and well, within or close to your bmi, have skin that is still elastic, then you will reap the rewards from Vaser Lipo.

Vaser Lipo is the number one procedure for fat removal. It is performed under local aneasthetic, so you are wide awake and chatting throughout. It can be done under twilight sedation, but this generally bumps the cost up as an aneasthetist has to be present. Most clients opt for Vaser Lipo as it a safer way of  having lipo that doesn't involve being put to sleep.

You can go home the same day and get  on with your life, no hospital stays and no big downtime as for traditional lipo.

This young man came to Selston Cosmetic Clinic for Vaser Lipo Hi Def. He was an excellent candidate for the procedure as he required minimal fat removal and the definition that he could acquire. He had done lots of research as do most of our clients on forums and decided Dr Bassi was the man to do the job.

He came to Nottingham for the weekend and was slowly transformed over the course of the two days.

Dr Reddy Fue Surgeon has Vaser Hi Def!

Well...after a very long day performing Fue Hair Transplants Dr Reddy decided he wanted Dr Bassi to do his Vaser Hi Def for him. After years of exercising he still could not get the definition he was looking for! 

So 7.30 in the evening we started.. as you can see he enjoyed the experience, big smiles all around! Dr Reddy was an easy candidate, naturally slim with just an inch or two of fat covering that elusive six pack.

You can see the look of amazement when he jumped off the table to take his first look at the result, and you have to admit, he looks pretty fab!

The bottom photo is one week on, looking slightly swollen, which is expected but still looking very good.

Dr Reddy is Hi Def trained himself, so i think it is always good to be on the recieving end and experience the procedure 1st hand. He admitted it was quite painless and the recovery was good, just the aftercare massages were slightly painful! 

I will update in the next few weeks as his results improve.
