Can you do eyebrow restoration for women?

Q. Hi Doctor, Can you restore my eyebrows? I have plucked my eyebrows for 20 years and now they are very thin and very fine. I dont like the painted on look and just want a natural looking eyebrow.

What is the recovery time for this procedure and the location for getting this done? Many thanks.

A. Hi there, thanks for your query. One of the advantages of the FUE 3rd generation technique is that eyebrows can be restored successfully with very natural results. Recovery is relatively quick, you can be back at work within 3-4 days. Acne Scarring

Acne Scarring is a nightmare for those who feel as though their teenage days are long behind them but the scars of teenage acne remain to blight your confidence. So what we at Selston Cosmetic Clinic do to help?

First there are two types of acne scarring .... pigment scars that leaves a purplish brown mark and also an ice pick scar that leaves an indentation in the skin.

Microdermabrasion will definately improve the scarring by removing off a very, very fine layer of skin ,where the superficial acne scar cells are stuck, this will then, after numourous treatments , improve the skin and texture.

Skin peels are designed to penetrate the upper layer of the skin and safely stimulate the lift off of dead skin cells and at the same time regenerate skin renewal , also increasing the collegen, plumping up the skin and thus the scarring improving.

Come and see me so we can discuss your acne scarring problems.

I am 25 But Already Suffering Hair Loss

Q. I am a 25 year old male but am already starting to lose my hair. I have shaved my head so that it becomes less obvious but am now starting to thin on my crown as well. I do not have any medical problems that would cause me hair loss so it must be down to genetics.

Is it normal for somebody my age to lose hair so rapidly and if i have a FUE hair transplant will it be successful considering that i am so young and have already lost a lot of my hair? Could you also give me details on costs of the operation, consultation and aftercare.

A. Hi there, thanks for your query. It is not unusual for someone your age to have establised a pattern of baldness. If you have no medical problems, you are right in blaming your genes for your hair loss.

However the good news is that with advances in hair transplants and a proper management plan, a respectable cosmetic result can be achieved. Costs start at £2.25 per hair dropping to £2.00 per hair if 3000 or more hairs are transplanted.

I would definately recommend you drop in for a free consultation at our Nottingham clinic to chart a management plan as medical restoration might have a role to play in stopping progression of your hair loss. Visit us at http://www.selstoncosmeticclinic.com/ to make an appointment.

Microdermabrasion... what it can do for you!!

I just wanted to talk about Microdermabrasion and what it can do for all of you out there....

This treatment is one of my favourites, it is a lunch time treatment with no down time and straight back to work , looking alot fresher, with the skin still glowing.
I regularly have Microdermabrasion's myself !!!

What is it you ask?

Well Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical skin rejuventating technique designed to improve the texture and appearance of the skin. Using fine crystals , like a hoover effect all over the skin. The results are subtle, resulting in a fresher look, reducing those fine lines and also acne scarring. Altogether a brilliant treatment, makes it alot easier to put make-up on, feeling smoother and looking healthier.

Why not try this fab procedure and see what you think .........

I Have Been Thinking About FUE Hair Transplant And Would Like To Know Prices

Q. Doctor I have been wondering about getting a hair transplant and would like an idea of prices. Also can you tell me the whereabouts of your clinic and how many times i would need to come for appointments. What is the success rate for FUE hair transplant and how many of these procedures do you do?

A. Hi there, thanks for your enquiry. The prices for a FUE 3rd generation technique start at £2.00 per hair depending on the number of hairs you have transplanted. The technique is based on taking one hair at a time from the back , meaning no linear scars, and no scalpels are used. We provide a written guarantee for the number of hairs grafted , meaning that all the hairs we place are guaranteed for life, so ensuring a high success rate for you.
