Prepare Yourself for Vaser Lipo Treatment - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

It goes without saying that before undergoing any cosmetic procedures, such as vaser lipo, to remove unwanted fat, you should ideally try to lose as much excess fat as you can. Healthy eating and exercising in the months before, will make sure that you get the best results possible from your treatment. At Selston Cosmetic Clinic, before you actually have vaser lipo treatment, you'll have a free consultation with Dr Bassi, when you’ll be able to talk in detail about why you want vaser, the technique he'll use, the length of recovery time and the results you want to achieve.

Dr Bassi has a portfolio of before and after photo's of previous vaser clients, so you can see for yourself the results he has achieved, and the difference it’s made for their bodies. A face-to-face consultation with the doctor who's doing your procedure will allow him to examine you, see which areas of your body that you're unhappy with, realistically discuss what results that you can expect, and work with you to get the right outcome for you and your body.

After being involved in the aesthetic industry for more than 10 years, Dr Bassi holds multiple qualifications and continues to develop his vaser lipo techniques to provide the most cutting-edge treatments.

Those considering having vaser lipo usually have a lot of questions, including:
  • How good will my results be?
  • What are the benefits and risks?
  • How well-trained is my doctor?
  • Can I see before and after photo's of my doctor's previous results?
  • Is the vaser lipo procedure painful?
  • How long does swelling and bruising last?
  • What can I expect before, during, and after a vaser lipo procedure?
  • How much does it cost?

At your consultation, Dr Bassi will give you a list of things that you're expected to do, or avoid. But there are also other things you should consider, to properly prepare yourself for vaser lipo treatment.

Prepare for your recovery time
After your treatment you'll need to arrange time off work (for a large procedure) and put off any physically demanding responsibilities until you have recovered.  During the early days of your recovery, you might need to have someone on hand to give you some help.

Medication
It's in your best interests to let the cosmetic doctor know of all tablets and supplements you're taking, because medications can interfere with your body’s blood clotting ability. So at least two weeks before your treatment you need to stop taking all forms of cold and sinus medication, vitamin E tablets, nutritional supplements, non-steroidal inflammatory medication, etc.

Smoking
It would be better to stop smoking cigarettes altogether, but if you are unable to do so, then it's advisable to quit smoking at least two months before the procedure. Smoking slows down blood flow to the skin, increasing the risk of circulation problems after treatment and this might affect your results. Smoking can cause poor wound healing, which can increase your recovery time. If you are considering vaser lipo then it would be better if you gave up smoking altogether.

Post-procedure supplies
Before your vaser procedure make sure you stock up on the necessary supplies, including pain relief medication, compression garments and bandages. If you live alone you'll need a good supply of food, toiletries etc. You don’t want to run out of supplies if there's nobody around to help replenish them.

Acheive Younger Smoother Skin With Dermal Fillers - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

Our skin is one of our best assets when it comes to beauty. A healthy taut skin, equals a younger-looking appearance and when we're young, our skin is more elastic and resilient, which is mostly thanks to collagen. Collagen keeps the skin intact and hydrated which makes it elastic, but as we age, the skin weakens and loses the elasticity. This affects your facial expressions, and you'll find that the skin will sag, and it will develop wrinkles and frown-lines.

Before & after dermal filler treatment for tear troughs

A lot of the visible signs of ageing is down to volume loss. When facial tissues lose volume, the cheeks start to look hollow and lines can become etched around the nose and mouth. As we mature, we naturally lose subcutaneous fat in our faces, making our smile lines, frown lines and crow’s feet become more apparent as the facial muscles are working closer to the skin's surface.

Dermal fillers work by boosting the skin’s own supply of hyaluronic acid. Dermal fillers revitalise and add volume to the skin, instantly diminishing the lines and wrinkles and giving a softer natural look. Dermal fillers are a soft injectable gel, consisting of hyaluronic acid which is tissue-friendly and closely resembles the hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the body. It's long-lasting but not permanent.

We use Dermal fillers to:
  • Diminish vertical lip lines
  • Fill in hollow tear troughs
  • Enhance & restore volume to sunken cheeks
  • Plump & enhance the lips
  • Soften facial wrinkles
  • Plump out facial creases

We inject the filler into the skin in tiny amounts, with a very fine needle. The gel filler produces volume under the skin, lifting up the wrinkles or folds, which results in smooth looking skin. The treatment is quick and easy, and the actual procedure takes around 20 - 60 minutes, depending on the treatment required. Straight after your treatment, you will have slight redness, mild swelling and tenderness, but these effects are temporary.

Vaser Lipo Treatment at Selston - Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield & Chesterfield

If you struggle with your weight, and dieting and exercising just isn't working for you, then vaser lipo is one method guaranteed to give your body the dramatic transformation you've been looking for. The vaser lipo technique uses a precise, but minimally invasive liposuction technology, to deliver the amazing results you've been looking for. In many cases, the results become visible after only one treatment. Vaser lipo is the procedure you need, if you want to refine and sculpt your figure and eliminate fat. Vaser lipo can help you look your very best, whether it's a simple improvement in a problem area or a major full-body transformation.

The vaser lipo technique offers lots of advantages over traditional liposuction treatments.
  • The vaser procedure does not require large incisions.
  • The treatment is tissue-selective and targets only the fat, leaving other tissues protected from any damage.
  • The procedure is powerful enough to deal with large areas of fat, but it's gentle on core areas such as the arms and neck.
  • Recovery time is much shorter due to less damage to surrounding tissues and blood vessels.
  • Vaser lipo has been clinically proven to provide only the best results in treated areas, leaving your skin smooth and your body, beautifully contoured.
The pain during a vaser lipo procedure is minimal because treatment is only mildly invasive. We numb the treatment areas with local anaesthetic, and we make only very small incisions in the skin to fit suction tubes, and there is normally no need for any stitches.

Important benefits of Vaser Lipo
  • Refines and emphasises muscle appearance.
  • Smooth's the skin in the most delicate areas such as arms and neck.
  • Easy removal of large amounts of stored fats.
  • Readily visible results after a single procedure.
  • Vaser Lipo is the best way to remove fatty tissue for aesthetic body contouring.
Results are immediate and you will be able to see your new changed shape as soon as your vaser treatment has finished. Treated areas might be a little swollen, but results will improve after a week and continue to improve for up to six months as your skin tightens with new collagen growth. Your post-op care programme will include deep tissue massage that will help to improve your results.

You may feel a little bruising or swelling in the treated areas, which should subside after a few days. You’ll be sent home with a post-op care programme to follow, to help your recovery.
